Skipton, Yorkshire: The premium small-batch gin, a homage to the beautiful surroundings and countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, has introduced the Cotton Gin Gift Box in time for Mother's Day. The award-winning gin will arrive with two Cotton Gin Copa Glasses.

Lovingly crafted using the finest botanicals: Yorkshire Watercress, English Coriander, hand-foraged local spruce, rowan berries, nettle leaves and mint make for fragrant and herbaceous gin. Cotton Gin will instantly transport you to a sunny English garden and rolling green meadows.

The name 'Cotton' derives from the magnificent building in which Otterbeck Distillery is housed: and built on the site of an 18th century, five-story cotton and silk mill on the banks of the Otterburn Beck, a tributary of the River Aire. A 'Cotton Ginny' was a machine used in cotton production at the Mill.

The Distillery has invested in a magnificent, hand-engineered 450 litre copper pot still named 'Eliza' after the original Cotton Mill-owner's wife. Otterbeck using lots of care and plenty of patience to distill in small batches, producing an exceptionally clean-tasting but complex Gin.

And this Gin has already received plaudits from the industry winning a gold at the Spirits Business Gin Masters, despite only been having launched in July 2020 in the UK's most challenging circumstances.

Otterbeck recommend a perfect serve of Cotton Gin is a double shot of Cotton, mixed with 150 ml of premium Indian tonic water, a spring of rosemary and a ribbon of lemon peel. As it is such a creamy, smooth, deep and complex liquid, its equally as enjoyable straight up over some ice, served in a tumbler” a great way to really experience the quality of the liquid. Or why not try a Cotton Martini, with dry vermouth and a dash of orange bitters with a twist of lemon peel to garnish.
