Craft Gin Club hails the Massingberd-Mundy Distillery gin #1

A pink gin from Lincolnshire's South Ormsby Estate has been named the number one pink gin of 2020 by the prestigious Craft Gin Club.

Marie Jeanne's Pink Gin – created by gin distillery manager Tristan Jørgensen, was recognised by the club as their bestselling pink gin of the year, described as both “unconventional” and a gin that “defies expectations”.

Marie Jeanne's enjoyed the limelight when it featured on BBC One's Countryfile just before Christmas, and sales for the popular pink drink topped the charts.

It's been hailed as a stand out gin by many of the top gin influencers, including gin blogger Emma-Louise Winters who said she was “utterly blown away,” by Marie Jeanne's, describing it as “an exceptionally made pink gin.”

Instagrammer @ginandcocktails said it was delicious, dry but sweet, proclaiming it as “an exceptionally made pink gin.”

Launched in June, Tristan developed Marie Jeanne's Pink Gin and its companion, Burrell's London Dry Gin, in homage to two of South Ormsby Estate's most well-loved characters Marie Jeanne Rapigeon and Charles Burrell.

Thanks to its winning combination of flavours; rich red berries with a zingy hit of lime, the gin combines sweet and tart flavours, and The Craft Gin Club chose it as one of their new “Discovery Gins” for their members.

It was so popular it went on to become the gin club's bestselling pink gin – pushing it to the top of their ginny charts!

Tristan said: “To be recognised by the Craft Gin Club is amazing news for us at South Ormsby Estate & Massingberd-Mundy. I'm very humbled that so many people like my Marie Jeanne Pink Gin.”
