CUCIELO

Il Tempo Vola - time flies when you enjoy it most

Let CUCIELO transport you to aperitivo hour in Italy via its newly released collection of classic vermouths crafted from naturally sourced botanicals.

CUCIELO Rosso and CUCIELO Bianco are both wonderfully complex vermouths made in the classic revered style of Vermouth di Torino for an elegant twist on a Negroni or Spritz.

CUCIELO's award-winning vermouths are made in harmony with nature and are packaged with sustainable or 100% recyclable materials that boast a stylish art deco inspired look which pays homage to Italy's 1930s golden era of aperitivo.

Aperitivo, which comes from the Italian verb aprire, 'to open', is about opening your appetite. It is a  time of day to stop and connect with others over a drink, to have a bite to eat in anticipation of more to eat a little later on.  It may sound strange, but for anyone who has visited Italy it will make total sense, as eating and drinking is such a central part of the culture and such a significant part of the day.

The cultural force that is aperitivo hour has slowly been seeping into UK culture, and represents a more relaxed, sophisticated, and social way of entertaining.

CUCIELO heralds from Italy's Piedmont region, a stunning alpine area surrounding one of Italy's most stylish cities, Turin. Vermouth di Torino is a special style of vermouth, made in a protected Denominazione di Origine Controllata (DOC) region recognised for its high quality and provenance.

CUCIELO Vermouth di Torino is bottled at 16.8% ABV to allow the widest personality and style of the vermouth to shine through in classic or aperitivo cocktails, as well as having a strong enough personality to be enjoyed simply over ice.

CUCIELO ROSSO

CUCIELO Rosso is a complex and classic Vermouth di Torino, deep in colour, brilliantly smooth, with aromatic caramelised orange and rhubarb and warming spices on the nose, bursts of fresh ripe red fruit, and pomegranate combined with a slight bitterness on the palate, complete with  a warm, long, dry finish.

CUCIELO Rosso is at home simply served over ice or as a key ingredient in a classic Negroni or Manhattan.

IWSC Judging Panel tasting notes:- CUCIELO Bianco 92 points, Silver medal in IWSC Singapore 2019

Mid-gold colour. Lifted tropical fruit aromas: mango, clove-studded roast pineapple, wormwood, and rosemary. There is a nicely balanced fruity sweetness, with a pithy bitterness that's in keeping with the style. Very characterful, intense, and long citrus-pith finish.
