Quids In!
  • Quids In! London are offering a free £10 shopping voucher to those who take part in their Money Health Check
  • By taking part and talking through a series of questions that look to identify areas where they may be struggling financially, individuals will receive tailored guidance
  • This not-for-profit organisation is encouraging people in vulnerable financial situations to sign up to their Readers Club, a money advice email service to help people make ends meet

“In a time of financial uncertainty, Quids In! London is offering lower income individuals in Hackney, Newham, Southwark and Tower Hamlets help and advice to navigate the difficult decisions when it comes to making sense of money and personal finance. By completing the Money Health Check, a telephone questionnaire, they'll receive not only tailored financial advice via email but a £10 shopping voucher.”

Quids In! London has launched two services in a bid to provide people with the right knowledge to help themselves during difficult financial situations during lockdown. The organisation is seeking to help people based in Hackney, Newham, Southwark and Tower Hamlets. Quids In! aim to reach social tenants, benefit claimants and individuals with a low household income.

After taking part in their Money Health Check over the phone, individuals will receive a £10 shopping voucher and guidance on how to tackle the areas in their life that they may be struggling with financially via a specifically tailored email.

Quids In! also encourages individuals with limited budgets to sign up to their Readers Club. The Readers Club sends emails that offer financial guidance to help people make ends meet. For this reason, they do not advertise credit cards or loans on their pages.

Quids In! Is a money skills initiative launched by Clean Slate, as the organisation intends to rewrite the rulebook on helping low income households to become better off together. As an organisation, Clean Slate intends to provide compassionate and non-judgemental guidance about money.

Clean Slate launched a Corona-Finance service, targeting the people who have needed help during lockdown. The Corona-Finance service is set to help people on lower incomes, as they have been struggling the most during lockdown. These are workers on low pay or zero hours contracts, as they may not be paid if they are sick or self-isolate.

Director of Clean Slate, Jeff Mitchell, commented: “Our Quids In! initiative is all about finding ways to help people spend less, save more, borrow less and bring in more money. Especially right now, we may all find that we need to continue to tighten our belts. There is no silver bullet for dodging debt but there are some golden rules!”
