Avallen Calvados, the world's most planet-positive spirit, has been awarded two prestigious awards at this year's World Calvados Awards. The bee-friendly Calvados brand has been judged the Best Speciality Calvados in the World and the World's Best Calvados Design – a testament to their brand partners, Wonderworks Communications. The brand also picked up Gold awards for their label design and launch.
Avallen's liquid is fresh, fruity and proudly apple forward in its flavour profile. A Calvados AOC aged in French oak barrels for two years and bottled at 40% ABV with no additives or added sugar, caramel or boisé, it is simply made from over 40 varieties of apples, water and time.
Avallen Spirits is a company with planet positivity at its core. The labels are made from recycled apple pulp (the rest of the pulp is distributed to dairy farmers to feed their herds), using only vegetal dies minimising the impact on the environment. The bottle is one of the lightest on the market, sourced from a glass manufacturer near the Normandy Distillery where Avallen is produced to help reduce the carbon footprint.
