Wright Brothers

Wright Brothers, whose five seafood restaurants are among the best-loved in London and who are a trusted wholesaler to many of the capital's top chefs, have launched Wright Brothers At Home, offering home delivery of the finest sustainable fish and shellfish.

Since 2002, Wright Brothers have been supplying and serving great seafood in London. Their expert wholesale teams at Billingsgate and Brixham fish markets supply over three hundred of London's top restaurants and chefs with a range of fresh and sustainable fish and shellfish, straight from local fishermen and markets in Devon, Cornwall and Scotland. However, with all restaurants – including Wright Brothers' own – closed, these cherished suppliers have seen their livelihoods threatened.

To support them, and responding to demand from customers, Wright Brothers are now offering home delivery.

The Wright Brothers At Home range comprises fresh, smoked and cured fish; oven-ready whole fish to share; cooked crab and lobster; oysters and mussels; and frozen prawns and seafood. Delicacies include octopus tentacles, Alaskan king crab leg clusters and Carabiñeros prawns, and a vegetable & salad box is available providing superb accompaniments.

Expertly put-together selection boxes, all suitable for freezing and available optionally on a monthly subscription basis, include:

  • Catch of the Day Box (£55) “A generous selection of whatever is freshest and best value on the market at any given”
  • FamilySeafood Box for 4 (£65) “A great value box of family fish  Includes a total of 24 portions of fish which will serve 6 meals for 4 people.”

As well as the beautiful imagery illustrating the Wright Brothers At Home website, inspiration is provided by a 'Top Sellers' section and from recipes created by Wright Brothers' restaurant chefs for home cooks to try, whatever their level of ability.

Sustainability has been at the heart of Wright Brothers' business since its foundation; they are dedicated to making sure that their seafood is responsibly sourced, and to ensuring that their buying policy supports sustainable wild-capture fisheries. Wright Brothers At Home will further support these fisheries by maintaining demand for their output during the coronavirus crisis, which has deeply impacted the UK and export seafood markets.

Delivery, initially offered only within the M25 but due to be rolled out nationally subject to demand, is available Tuesday to Saturday. There is a minimum order value of £35 with a £10 delivery charge, while orders over £50 qualify for free delivery; orders placed before 5pm will be delivered two working days later via Wright Brothers' own fleet of temperature-controlled vans. All fresh fish is prepared 'pan-ready' by expert filleters, then vacuum-packed making it super-convenient for immediate use or transferring to the freezer. Naturally, a fully 'no-contact delivery' option is available.

Introducing Wright Brothers At Home, co-founders Ben Wright and Robin Hancock say, “We've been touched to hear that during lockdown, many of our customers have been missing us almost as much as we've been missing them, and would love to be able to order restaurant-quality fish and seafood to enjoy at home. We know also that a lot of people who don't normally cook fish much or at all at home are eager to expand their repertoire and to experiment.”

They add, “Home delivery is completely new for us; it's like we're starting up all over again. So we've put a lot of thought into the product range, and the care that will go into delivering it, to ensure that Wright Brothers At Home is the best that it can be!”
