Nothing says summer quite like a barbecue, so get ready to get grilling with supermarket Aldi's new sizzling summer BBQ range, all at everyday amazing prices. With National BBQ week just around the corner (25th – 31st May), there's never been a better time to crown yourself King or Queen of the BBQ.

Steal the show this BBQ season with the return of Aldi's Chicken King Kebab (£4.99, 924g), available to buy now. Made using chicken thigh and drum fillets, the meat has been carefully threaded onto a wooden skewer and generously coated in a fiery Peri Peri marinade. Or if you're not ready to take on the heat, the zingy Lemon & Herb Peri Peri flavour has been infused with fresh herbs, which makes it milder yet just as flavoursome. Winner of the kebab category in Good Housekeeping Institute's BBQ taste test.

Aldi's Big Daddy Rump Steak (£4.49, 454g) is back in stores for summer. Made with prime rump beef for a  full and rich flavour, smoke this mighty and meaty rump on the grill until slightly charred, for the juiciest of steaks that will simply 'meat' in your mouth. Perfect for leftovers too, layer sliced steak onto Aldi's Specially Selected Part Baked Ciabatta (89p, 300g) and layer with caramelised onions, for a decadent steak sandwich to devour.

Spice up your summer nights in with Aldi's British Beef Kebabs (£2.49, 400g), available to buy in store now. Topped with a peppery jalapeño glaze to perk up your palate, toss the skewers on the grill or in the oven until tender and juicy. For those looking for a lighter option, Aldi's 5% Fat British Beef Kebabs (£2.69, 320g) taste just like the original version, with a fraction of the guilt. Couple with Aldi's Giant Cous Cous with Feta (£1.39, 220g) for a scrumptious supper to please the whole family.

Try out Aldi's Teriyaki Chicken Kebab (£2.69, 345g), brand new for 2020. Flavoured with a sweet, soy marinade, these aromatic skewers are guaranteed to be a hit with the whole family. Serve with Aldi's Radish Summer Salad1 for an irresistible fusion of crunch and flavour.

Back by popular demand and returning for summer 2020 are Aldi's Chicken and Chorizo Kebabs (£2.89, 320g). The perfect pairing of rich and smoky chorizo sausage and paprika-seasoned chicken breast makes these spicy skewers a winner on the BBQ. Enjoy with a salad or in a pitta wrap – the whole family will love them. Available in stores now.

Feed the whole family with Aldi's Sticky Bourbon BBQ Drums & Thigh Mixed Pack (£2.99, 1KG). A mix of chicken thighs and drumsticks, coated in a sticky bourbon and maple barbecue glaze, these pair perfectly with grilled corn on the cob and homemade potato wedges, for a hassle-free al fresco dinner. Available to buy now.

For those looking to add more sizzle to their BBQ feast, 'chick' out Aldi's Cajun Chicken Sizzle BBQ Pack (£4.49, 600g), returning to shelves for 2020. Made with 100% British chicken breast, and coated in a Cajun marinade of paprika and red chilli, this fiery flavor combination will set your BBQ alight.

Aldi's brand-new BBQ Pork Kebabs (£2.99, 366g) are coated in a smoky barbecue marinade and are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Roast the kebabs in the oven until perfectly tender and finish on the BBQ.  On sale from 10th June.

For an authentic smokehouse experience, the Slow Cooked Smoky BBQ Ribs (£3.29, 600g) are generously coated in an irresistible sweet and smoky BBQ glaze, and come with extra BBQ sauce for serving. Oven ready in just 45 minutes, serve with crunchy 'slaw for a true taste of the deep South. Perfect for a Texan BBQ feast – these are available in stores now.

New for 2020, elevate your BBQ bonanza with Aldi's Salmon Kebabs (£2.99, 206g) – perfect for outdoor BBQ cooking. These fin-tastic salmon kebabs are topped with red peppers and coriander and come with a soy, chilli and lime marinade, for a burst of flavour in every bite. Available to buy now, be sure to pick up a pack on your next in-store visit.

Wines with ripe fruits and big personality are ideal choices for a BBQ. Big, full bodied reds such as the South African Cambalala Pinotage (£5.49) is a perfect match for the rich and full flavour of the Big Daddy Rump Steak. For lighter meats such as chicken and salmon, opt for Aldi's Portuguese Alvarinho (£6.49), as with its fruity and floral notes it makes a delicious pairing. Try with the Salmon Kebabs to elevate your BBQ spread!

Notes to editors:

Aldi is Britain's fifth largest supermarket with more than 875 stores and 33,000 employees.

The company has more than doubled its market share since 2010. In the 12 weeks to 22nd March, Aldi grew sales by 11.0% and it achieved an 8.2% share of the UK grocery market (Kantar Worldpanel data). By 2025, Aldi will operate over 1,200 stores.

Aldi is attracting hundreds of thousands of new customers every year with its range of exclusive brands, passing low operating costs on to customers in the form of low prices.

The supermarket believes in making every day amazing and that's why every single day Aldi delivers on the best possible value for millions of families throughout the UK and Ireland across everything from award-winning fresh produce to world class gin.

Aldi won't be beaten on price; consistently racks up award after award for quality; treats its suppliers with fairness and respect and recognises the responsibility of supporting valued institutions such as Team GB to demonstrate the importance of health and wellness. That's Aldi. That's everyday amazing. The reason they do this? Because Aldi believes that everyone should have access to fresh, healthy, affordable food…it's a right, not a privilege.

The company's current achievements and initiatives include:

  • Aldi is the UK's lowest priced supermarket. Research released by Which? showed that Aldi is 19% cheaper, on average, than the Big Four supermarkets. It tracked the price of more than a hundred items at the UK's eight biggest supermarkets throughout March 2020.
  • Aldi has a five-year partnership with Teenage Cancer Trust – its fundraising target of £5m will go towards helping the trust to reach out to every young person with cancer in the UK.
  • Aldi's rates of pay are significantly higher than the Government's National Living Wage and also above the Living Wage Foundation's recommended national rates. Store Assistants receive a minimum hourly rate of £9.40 nationally and £10.90 in London.
  • Aldi is the official supermarket partner of Team GB and ensures every member of the team has access to fresh healthy Aldi food via monthly shopping vouchers, and that 1.2 million 5-14 year olds will learn about the benefits of cooking fresh, healthy food via its Get Set to Eat Fresh education initiative. Aldi has been a partner since 2015 and has extended its commitment to the 2024 Olympic games in Paris.
  • In June 2019, for the sixth consecutive year, Aldi was ranked the best-performing supermarket for compliance with the Groceries Supply Code of Practice, underlining its commitment to maintaining fair, predictable and sustainable prices within its supply chain.
