Classic Chocolate Bars Reimagined for Clean Eating

Plant-based on the Inside and Out, with Plastic-Free Packaging

Introduces '4th Monkey' Mascot: 'Eat No Evil'

Prodigy, the breakthrough chocolate brand that aims to reimagine favourite chocolate classics for a new generation of health-conscious and sustainably-minded consumers, announces the launch of two new bars : Coconut Cahoots and Peanut & Caramel Cahoots (45g bar RRP: £1.75). With the slogan 'Eat No Evil', Prodigy's delicious new Cahoots bars “pay homage to UK favourites” according to founder Sameer Vaswani. Cahoots are crafted to have less than half the sugar than mainstream alternatives, are Vegan and feature plastic-free packaging.

Coconut Cahoots and Peanut & Caramel Cahoots will join the original Prodigy line-up of Chunky Chocolate and Chunky Orange Chocolate with Baobab, that launched in Summer 2019. Cahoots and Chunky Chocolate bars are made with natural ingredients, have significantly less sugar compared to mainstream chocolate bars and up to 30% of the daily recommended intake of fibre.

The Coconut Cahoots bar has a luscious coconut centre with a smooth, creamy chocolate coating. Peanut & Caramel Cahoots features a peanut, sweet caramel and soft nougat centre wrapped in chocolate, crafted to be wonderfully nutty, sweet and salty, smooth and delicious. The range evokes the same chocolate pleasure as classic favourites but offers a plant-based, refined sugar-free alternative. The Cahoots bars are available to buy online from 3rd Feb 2020

Like all Prodigy Snacks, Cahoots Bars include raw cacao ingredients to retain the maximum nutrients. The nutritional value is given a further boost from added superfoods like lucuma, green tea, and added fibre which benefits the gut. Prodigy only use plant based “milks” and no dairy, striving to be better for the planet and which also (believe it or not) makes for a richer tasting chocolate.

Refined sugars and energy slumps are out and nutrient rich ingredients are in, all without compromising everything we love about chocolate,” says Sameer Vaswani, Founder of Prodigy Snacks. “I've spent a lifetime in the business of chocolate and I've seen the good, the bad and quite honestly, the evil ingredients and unhealthy processes that exist in so many chocolate snacks available today,” explains Vaswani. It's time for a chocolate revolution and Prodigy Snacks is reinventing chocolate for the mainstream market. It's a rebirth of how chocolate should have been made – we are taking the classics we all grew up with and making them better for you and better for the planet.”

Not only is Prodigy Snacks leading the chocolate revolution by offering delicious and healthier treats, the brand is also seeking to be better for the planet with plastic-free compostable packaging made from plant-based materials. Reinforcing the company's ethos of being good for consumers, the planet and humanity, Prodigy Snacks proudly supports a number of charity partners.

To celebrate the launch of Cahoots Bars, Prodigy is unveiling a new mascot, the '4th Monkey' of 'Eat No Evil', adding to the well-known three wise monkeys proverb of 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil'.

Coconut Cahoots and Peanut & Caramel Cahoots are available from prodigysnacks.com and Amazon from 3rd Feb 2020, with distribution expanding in early 2020.

Tasting is Believing.

ABOUT SAMEER VASWANI- PRODIGY SNACKS FOUNDER:

Sameer Vaswani started his profession and entrepreneurial career as a chef in Notting Hill, London before relocating to West Africa where he built a biscuit and confectionery business from scratch. After eventually selling this market-leading and very successful business to an international corporate he returned to the UK. Reflecting on the widespread use and impact of highly refined and synthetic ingredients as well as plastic packaging he vowed to create a chocolate brand that could deliver on taste as well as be better for you and better for the planet - and founded Prodigy.
