Additionally, Buttermilk's very popular seasonal favourite is back! The Hot Cross Bun fudge (100g RRP £2.99) is available at Sainsbury's and enjoys new re-branded packaging; it is still packed full of juicy raisins and a little bit of fragrant fruit peel to get that delicious hot cross bun taste.
Buttermilk entered the Easter market in 2018, with the dairy-free range added in 2019. Since then Buttermilk have won a Great Taste award and lots of positive feedback. Customer comments include “We have just very wickedly been eating some of your Easter eggs before Easter Sunday- the caramel sea salt and the caramelised cacao. We just wanted to say that they are the best Easter eggs we have ever tasted (we are both in our 60s) and at an affordable price. We shall be trying more of your confectionery and highly recommend it” and “the Easter Egg of absolute dreams. British brand and handmade in Cornwall”.
The products have been tested by a range of consumers who could not detect that they are free from dairy, making them the perfect choice for everyone.
Tracy McDonnell Goad, owner of Buttermilk, said of the new eggs for 2020 “This year, we are proud to announce that we have removed all plastic from the packaging as part of Buttermilk's commitment to sustainability and ongoing improvement. We are committed to removing all plastic from our packaging for 2021.
“We have removed the plastic egg casing and found a clever design that removes the need for plastic tape to seal the outer box. The Easter eggs are now wrapped in foil and all other packaging is card, so all packaging is fully recyclable nationwide.
“The feedback we received following the launch of our free from Easter eggs last year has been incredible and we have developed new products that are an inclusive and indulgent treat. Look out also for our new Dairy-free Salted Caramel Cups; Dairy-free Rocky Road Crunch and Little Gift Dairy-free Chocolatey Truffles – all available now at Sainsbury's supermarkets.”

Notes to Editors
Please note that we've referred to “Choc” and “choc flavours” in the free-from range as they cannot be called 'chocolate' as they are made from a delicious alternative.
Samples are available for journalists.
