Both Caravan Coffee Roasters and The Savoy champion excellent provenance. Caravan is passionate about producing coffee of the highest quality in the most sustainable and ethical way possible, and this is reflected in The Savoy's offering. The experts at Caravan have worked closely with The Savoy team to devise an offering that is fresh and exceptional, which highlights each cup of coffee's individual characteristics. The three chosen blends, which are served throughout the hotel include the Shora Decaf and Carte Blanche for filter coffee and The Savoy Blend for espresso or speciality coffees.
Situated on the corner of Savoy Court and The Strand, the new coffee shop, Caravan Coffee Roasters will provide customers in London's bustling Northbank area with coffee made from the finest beans, directly sourced from single farm, speciality estates around the world. Customers will have a choice of two espresso coffees from the Caravan range, typically one blend and one single origin, and then the option of freshly grown single origin decaf. In addition to this, there will be a choice of two filter coffees, which will rotate between a seasonal single origin filter range and the Special Bru filter blend. A hand-brewed Geisha of a very high grade will also sit alongside the batched brewed coffees. All coffees will be available in 250g bags and can be ground to order for any home device. Examples from the menus include:
- Market Blend - a signature espresso blend from El Salvador and Guatemala with notes of red apple, cooked fruit and baking spice
- Daily Blend - a progressive response and reboot of the traditional classic coffee, sweet and clean with low acidity with hints of dark chocolate, toffee apple and salted caramel
- Single Origin Decaf - produced by the Shora community from the Satipo province of Junín, Peru, this coffee has strong notes of milk chocolate with a mild apple acidity, that becomes a rich dark chocolate with a dried fruit note when decaffeinated and roasted for espresso
- Maira Ramirez - a filter offering grown by a female producer in Huehuetenango, Guatemala, that has undertones of sweet strawberry, tinned peach, butterscotch and white chocolate
- Musa Aba Lulesa - a complex and intriguing blend from Ethiopia with floral and citric notes of sweet orange, lychee and cola

About Caravan Restaurants and Coffee Roasters:
Caravan restaurant, bar and coffee roastery, first opened on Exmouth Market in 2010. Bringing the antipodean, 'well-travelled' all-day-dining and coffee culture to the UK, Caravan's ethos is bold flavours, vibrant and healthy ingredients, and global influences, with relaxed and approachable service. The ever-changing food and drink menus draw inspiration from the three founder's travels around the world, using some of the best local and seasonal produce. Following the success of the Exmouth Market site, Caravan was the first restaurant to open on the Granary Square development in King's Cross in August 2012. A third restaurant opened in a converted metal box factory in 2016 in Bankside London, minutes from the Tate Modern extension. In 2017, Caravan opened its fourth site within the Bloomberg Arcade in the City of London.
Caravan Fitzrovia, opened in August 2018 in the former BBC Radio 1 recording studio. The restaurant offers all-day dining, post-work drinks and a hub for the surrounding creative industries, professionals and local dwellers, while offering a destination for London's West-End foodies to enjoy a weekend brunch, dinner or drinks. Caravan Fitzrovia's Caravan-To-Go is an exciting expansion on the takeout offer that the team from Caravan are already known for at their restaurants and coffee bars. The team serves a selection of the existing all day and breakfast menus in To-Go form such as healthy, grain and plant-based salads, breakfast and lunch bowls, as well as delicious croissants and baked goods. Caravan Fitzrovia also has a unique private dining room known as the Record Room, it was once used to record BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. Seating 40 guests or 50-60 standing, the room's design nods to the history of the building, featuring materials and fittings that stay true to the site's heritage– including 'Recording' lights and a record player with original vinyl so guests can curate their own playlist.
Caravan Coffee Roasters supplies coffee to both wholesale and retail customers in the capital and around the UK, as well as catering for the caffeine needs of the Caravan restaurant customers. Starting life originally in the basement at Caravan Exmouth Market then at Caravan's King's Cross restaurant, Caravan Coffee Rosters is now located in a huge, standalone roastery at Lamb Works, based just north of King's Cross.
Caravan Coffee Roasters' aim is to source the best quality green coffee, in the most sustainable, social and environmental way. It is also the exclusive importer for ACME & CO. earthenware.
