Waitrose and Partners is set for a Scrumptious Summer as the supermarket introduces a new range of the very best seasonal food for the summer season.

Taking inspiration from seasonal produce, nostalgic ingredients and classic British flavours such as rhubarb and custard, coronation chicken, cheese and pickle, pink lemonade and raspberry trifle, Scrumptious Summer celebrates the food synonymous of long summer days and food-filled evenings with family and friends.

With 150 new products and nearly 200 in its entirety, it is the supermarket's largest ever summer launch. It celebrates treasured recipes and old foodie favourites - nostalgic food with a playful twist.

Additions to the supermarket's shelves also include picnic staples with unusual flavour combinations, such as; Corned Beef & Pickle Bites, Pork & Beetroot Scotch Egg, Pea & Mint Tortilla Crisps, Horseradish Baby Beetroot and Coronation Chicken Pies.

Ready for firing up the barbecue, meaty mains include Chaat Masala Chicken Chops - a cut featuring for the first time in a UK supermarket - and Pork Sausages with Grapefruit Infused Ale, a sweet take on the classic sausage. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, the range also includes Venison Steaks with Cherry Ketchup and Welsh Lamb Steaks with Rosehip & Gin Glaze, which make a cheery alternative for indoor dining.

Relaxing summer brunches will prove even more tasty with the new Breakfast Sausages - pork sausage with black pudding, tomatoes, mushrooms and beans - combining all the elements of a traditional English breakfast wrapped up in a tasty sausage.

Vegans and vegetarians are also catered for with options including a Vegan Pasty and Vegan Sausage Rolls.

No summer is complete without a trip to the seaside, and the new Salt & Vinegar Battered Haddock Goujons burst with the flavour of fish and chips on the beach, bringing sunshine into shoppers' homes.

Dreamy desserts such as Raspberry Trifle Ice Cream, Pink Lemonade Jelly, Summer Pudding Crumbly Fudge and Rhubarb & Custard Cakes will evoke nostalgic feelings of days gone by with their classic flavours and delicious taste.

We wanted to create a range that is full of flavour and helps our customers celebrate the season, whether that be with picnics in the park, barbecues on the beach or dinner after a dash indoors to avoid the rain!
