A family dairy firm has seen a huge surge in demand for glass milk bottles as more people try to reduce their plastic waste. In the last twelve months McQueens Dairies' glass bottles have gone from 18,000 glass milk bottle orders per week to a whopping 72,000 per week!
McQueens Dairies dairies deliver milk right to your desk or door nationwide just like the old days.
Once finished glass milk bottles are returned to the dairy, they are washed out and refilled to be delivered again. This stops hundreds of plastic bottles being used which only have a single life-span.
McQueens Dairies are encouraging people to take part in #wastelesswednesday - a day dedicated everyweek for us all to think of the number of plastic we produce and encourage us all to recycle a bit more.
