The hotel's resident mixologist Sabrina Cantini-Budden is highlighting unique spirits which she has sourced around the world to create innovative cocktail selections which change every two months. As per Sabrina, “The essence of a cocktail lies in the spirit.”

To launch our 2019 Cocktail Journey of Artisanal & Craft Spirits from Around the World, Sabrina Cantini-Budden has selected Tequila Cabeza, a spirit described as “made by bartenders for bartenders” by Kara Newman, a New York based spirits editor and author of many cocktail books (www.karanewman.com).

Tequila Cabeza is made from 100% estate owned agave that is grown in the Los Altos region in Arandas, Mexico at the El Ranchito Distillery owned by the Vivanco family, fifth generation agaveros and Third Generation Tequileros. The Vivanco family have been cultivating agaves on their 800-heactar mountainside land for five generations. The family handles everything from planting the hijuelo sprouts to bottling the cabeza.
