Warrens Bakery

Following the huge success of their Mince Pie Pasty a couple of years ago, Warrens Bakery has done it again, this year launching not one but two Christmas pasties.  Perfect for the main course this festive season, the Three Bird Roast Pasty is an innovative twist on a traditional favourite.  Once devoured, Warrens Bakery has dessert covered with their irresistible and equally as intriguing Christmas Pudding Pasty.

Cornwall's oldest bakery's Three Bird Roast Pasty is a delightful and delicious play on a popular multi-bird roast.  Encased in their secret recipe pasty pastry, succulent turkey, chicken and duck is combined with a tasty cranberry and apricot stuffing to create a flavourful and unforgettable pasty topped with a sage crumb.  As the oldest Cornish pasty maker in the World, the artisan bakery is famous for their pasties and this one certainly doesn't disappoint.

For those who fancy a sweet treat on-the-go, the Christmas Pudding Pasty hits the spot.  Handmade using rough puff pastry filled with a special rich and indulgent Christmas pudding filling including juicy apples, sultanas, currants and traditional mixed peel all soaked in brandy.  The moist pudding filling, loaded with fruit, is delicately balanced with a brandy style cream and hand-crimped by Warrens Bakery's talented team.  The finishing touch is a pink sugar topping creating a crunchy taste sensation.

Both the Three Bird Roast Pasty (from £3.65) and Christmas Pudding Pasty (from £1.50) are available throughout the 2018 Christmas period in Warrens Bakery stores across the UK and online at www.warrensbakery.co.uk. To find your nearest local Warrens Bakery, visit warrensbakery.co.uk.

Notes to Editors

  • There are over 70 Warrens Bakery stores across Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Birmingham, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Sussex, Essex, London and Wales.
  • One of the top three craft bakeries in the country, Warrens Bakery's range includes traditional bakes, freshly made sandwiches, savouries, scones, an artisan bread range and more. They attribute their success not only to the provenance of their ingredients but also to their dedicated team. All of their baked goods are crafted with an enormous amount of care and attention to detail and using the finest ingredients. Many of their products are also produced to traditional recipes.
  • The story of Warrens Bakery began back in 1860 when the original shop was opened. At its heart lies a romance between two local families, the Harveys and the Warrens. Miss Harvey, the daughter of the local St. Just baker, met Master Warren, the farmer's son. While the local Warrens farm provided the ingredients fresh from the fields, the Harveys made the pastry and baked the pasties. Generations later Warrens Bakery is the oldest Cornish pasty maker in the world, the oldest bakery in Cornwall and one of the oldest artisan bakers in the UK.
