A busy Spring/Summer season with a key stop at Natural & Organic Products Europe,London

London, UKVamvalis Foods, Europe's largest processor of organic nuts, seeds and bars is participating in Natural & Organic Products Europe, London on 22 & 23 April 2018, continuing a successful run at number of key trade fairs in which the company has exhibited in the spring/summer 2018 period.

Leo Papadakis, Operations Director said: “The UK is an important market for us. With an increasingly discerning and sophisticated consumer, with a high proportion buying or interested in organic, vegetarian and vegan products, our high quality products and services naturally appeal to UK suppliers, retailers, and consumers. As a heritage company in this segment with a proven track record of best quality and an ongoing commitment to innovation, there's a lot of synergy between what we are doing on the processing side in Thessaloniki and the kinds of products the British consumer wants to see on the shelf.”

He adds: ”It's always important for us to keep in a dialogue with our clients and potential clients, but this is particularly important with the UK right now. So much is still unknown about arrangements after Brexit that it's essential that we continue the conversation and find ways to overcome what challenges may result from any new arrangements as early as possible.''

As part of a broader brand identity evolution including the revealing of a new logo, towards the end of 2017, Vamvalis Foods commissioned the British food photographer Robert Streeter to shoot a range of assets for the company. But, this was not limited to mere product imagery. Streeter, who has worked for household names across both F&B and travel (including Waitrose, itsu, MJ Foods and Trafalgar, among others) is known for his striking “food stories” photography features that document not only delicious food, but the stories of the people who produce and make it.

In keeping with Vamvalis Foods' ethos as a family-run, ethical business, Robert Streeter travelled to the processing facility in Thessaloniki, to shoot a series of portraits of the employees going about their day-to-day business. The result is a series of handsome images that offer a transparent insight into the culture of Vamvalis Foods that is occasionally very moving — for example, it includes a portrait of one of the migrants employed at the facility, part of Vamvalis Foods' commitment to helping African migrants assimilate into the local community.

The imagery is used on a new exhibition stand concept first shown in Malmo earlier this year.

After Natural & Organic Products Europe, London, Vamvalis Foods will be exhibiting at PLMA 2018 (Amsterdam) 29-30 May and Free From Food Expo 2018 8-9 June (Copenhagen).
