Sydney 20 April, 2018 - Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney is the first hotel in Sydney to be awarded ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management System) certification by the International Certification of Management Systems, TQCSI.

“I take great pride in our Food and Beverage team's diligent practices concerning this process, and we will concentrate our efforts on continuing this high standard for our guests,” Mr Hooley said.
Food Safety Management Measures:
- The implementation of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as well as compliance with Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) is necessary to provide safety and the high quality of food.
- The international standards specify the requirements for an organisation to have a food safety management system in the food chain, with a food safety management team responsible for the execution of perfect food safety.
In order to implement the practical use of the ISO international standard, Shangri-La Hotel, Sydney has committed to improvements in its food management system manual to ensure the full and continuous integration of ISO 220000.
