London restaurant Whyte and Brown has removed Diet Coke from its menu and replaced it with Green Cola, a new, healthier alternative supplied by UK company Green Room Brands.
Liz Williams, Interim CEO of the restaurant, situated in Kingly Court, W1 trialled the brand and in addition to receiving great feedback from customers, she managed to kill her “many” a day Diet Coke habit.
“I was practically addicted to Diet Coke for years, but friends were telling me it wasn't good for me. With Green Cola, thankfully now I have found something that tastes even better AND doesn't have all the bad stuff in it. I was quickly convinced, so wanted to test it with our customers in Whyte & Brown. It outsold Diet Coke and our customers loved the idea of a healthier AND tasty cola from a non-corporate. We've now had it for nearly a month and it continues to do amazingly well!”
Unlike other diet colas, Green Cola contains no Aspartame, no preservatives, and no phosphoric acid. It is sweetened with Stevia (from the Stevia plant) and contains natural caffeine from green coffee beans – which is why it's called Green Cola.
Nick Skaanild, CMO for Green Cola UK, said, “We are over the moon to be in Whyte & Brown – they share our values of really caring about their customers and trying to provide them with the best quality choices, and, of course, putting taste as the absolute first priority – no compromise! Their customers can now enjoy a tasty meal with less guilt!”
Beyond Whyte & Brown, Green Cola is available across the UK from Ocado and Amazon, as well as in a growing number of artisan food stores, select coffee shops, and quality oriented local stores.
