Provencal Rosé Maison Charlotte To Debut In Sydney
After much anticipation, Riviera Brands today announced the launch of Maison Charlotte, a beautifully delicate Provençal Rosé that will be available on premise for the first time ever in Sydney, from October 2017.
Maison Charlotte has been an ongoing labour of love for Co-Founders Andrew Frost and Vincent Lelard, who have spent much time researching the perfect blend to emulate a European summer in St Tropez.
“We wanted to offer a refreshing rosé drinking experience while remaining true to centuries of Provence's celebrated winemaking style. Delicate, crisp and fresh and very easy to drink, Maison Charlotte is not only the embodiment of summer celebrations, but a new frontier in rosé. It targets a broad group of consumers and is highly 'sessionable'” said Andrew Frost, Co-Founder, Maison Charlotte.
Co-Founder Vincent Lelard furthered Mr. Frost's sentiments stating that “Maison Charlotte's crisp freshness and subtle aromas are an instant summer escape in a glass.”
Maison Charlotte originates from the “golden triangle” at the heart of the A.O.C., Côtes de Provence—a region where growers focus almost solely on the delicate Rosé style. The exceptional, deep-rooted vineyards thrive in the limestone and clay soils and the idyllic sun-filled days and cool Mediterranean nights of Provence. At times, the cool and dry le Mistral winds sweep across the vineyards, helping fruit retain the concentrated flavours and fresh acidity of Provençal Rosé.
Crafted by Les Maîtres Vignerons de Saint-Tropez, a co-operative that was founded over 50 years ago, Maison Charlotte's carefully crafted flavour embodies all the qualities and delicacies of a Provençal Rosé, evoking intrigue in its minimalistic complexity of the purest form.
Maison Charlotte is not just a premium rosé, but an immersive experience. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and other varietals, Maison Charlotte displays a pale coral colour featuring brilliant flavors of grilled white peach, juicy nectarine and perfectly ripe strawberry, framed by subtle mineral notes and refreshingly zesty acidity. Its flavours and appearance invoke an effervescent energy where people flourish and come to life, no matter what the season, arousing escapism and imagination as it catapults its consumer to the shores of St Tropez.
Maison Charlotte will be available in two blends, Maison Charlotte Belle Cuvée (RRP$55/60) and its elegant sister the Grand Cuvée (RRP $85/90), which are both expected to be staples amongst the rosé connoisseurs over the upcoming spring and summer months in Sydney's top venues.
