Casa Luker

Experienced chocolate maker Casa Luker will bring their signature collection of single origin chocolates and couvertures celebrating the best 'Fino de Aroma' cacao to Speciality & Fine Food Fair 2017 (SFFF17) at Olympia London from Sunday 3rd September to Tuesday 5th September, as well as a new series of products showcasing panela raw cane juice sugar.

Founded in 1906 in Colombia, family-owned business Casa Luker has been an established chocolate manufacturer for over 100 years and specialises in products made using the finest Criolli and Trinitarian cocoa beans from 'Fino de Aroma' growing regions in South America, which are highly sought after around the world. The 'Fino de Aroma' denomination is an International Cocoa Organisation classification, which describes the cacao's exquisite fruity and flowery aroma and characteristic flavour with its nutty malt notes.

Visitors to SFFF17 will be able to check out the trusted chocolate company's impressive lineup at stand 3220, located in the renowned trade show's new Discovery Zone. Casa Luker 1906 single origin chocolates each have a unique flavour reflecting not only the particular cocoa variety but also the richness of the soil and the cocoa growing culture of the particular region that the 'Fino de Aroma' cocoa beans were sourced from; ranging from the smooth Arauca 70% dark chocolate with its exotic flavours of red berries, honey, jasmine and spices; to the creamy Colombia 45% high cocoa content milk chocolate with its unmistakable sweet caramel flavour.

Casa Luker's stand at SFFF17 will provide an unrivalled opportunity for chefs and artisans to sample the team's sensational 'Fino de Aroma' products that are ideal for use in cooking and baking; such as their Luker Cacao white, milk and dark chocolate couvertures; and their chocolate-covered dragee Maracas filled with either roasted coffee, roasted cocoa or sweet tropical fruits, perfect for decorating cakes, topping ice-creams or mixing together with cereals and nuts to create tasty healthy snacks.

Committed to innovation as well as quality, Casa Luker will also introduce SFFF17 show-goers to their new array of items featuring special Colombian ingredient panela. A non-refined raw sugar made from dehydrated cane juice, panela maintains its natural nutrients and flavour, with added caramel notes and a velvety golden brown colour. Casa Luker has recently-launched four new chocolate couvertures made with 'Fino de Aroma' cocoa plus panela (dark chocolates Trapiche and Morena, milk chocolate Melao and white chocolate Dorado), and also offers their own brand of powdered panela that acts as an interesting sweetener instead of refined sugar. Casa Luker's panela is already being used by acclaimed producers such as London-based self-taught chocolatier Fifth Dimension Chocolates, who won a bronze prize at the Academy of Chocolate Awards 2017 for their Colombian-inspired “Bogotá” coffee panela caramel luxury filled chocolate.
