The Fuel food truck will be Salt Meat Cheese's first foray into street eats and will serve up a combination of Italian classics and Fuel's own signature pizzas, such as the Truffle Mortadella. In addition to pizzas, Fuel will be offering an array of artisan cured meats and cheeses, which will rotate on a regular basis, and some delicious wood-fired breakfast items, for all you early-risers!

The custom-made pizzeria-on-wheels was designed by Salt Meats Cheese co-owner, Stefano De Blasi and brought to life by Brisbane's food truck experts, Van Demons. The classic, cool vibe of Salt Meats Cheese has inspired the design of Fuel - it's the James Dean of food trucks. The friendly staff are more than happy to share their expertise in Italian cuisine; don't be afraid to ask the difference between fior di latte and mozzarella!

Fuel by Salt Meats Cheese will make its debut appearance at Gasworks, where the restaurant group's first Brisbane restaurant will be opening later this year, on Friday 5th May from 11am.

Fuel is fitted out to serve hungry crowds all day long with breakfast, lunch and dinner on the menu. Fuel's breakfast is perfect for early morning market set; the wood-fired bacon, egg, and mozzarella roll is sure to be a favourite. For lunch and dinner they'll be dishing up Salt Meat Cheese's classic pizza menu; all topped with premium ingredients like truffle oil and premium salami - this isn't your average pizza! For those with a sweet tooth there's delicious Nutella-filled desserts including a sweet pizza and an Oreo-filled calzone.

Established in 2012, Salt Meats Cheese began as a retailer of gourmet Italian produce based out of a warehouse in Alexandria, Sydney. Since then the group has seen exponential growth and has evolved into a group of contemporary Italian restaurants across NSW and QLD, including a cooking school based in Alexandria. The Salt Meats Cheese group is owned by cousins Stefano De Blasi and Edoardo Perlo who share a passion for honest cooking with quality ingredients. Fuel is the first food truck to join the group and will also be available for private hire for corporate catering, festivals and private pizza parties! Fuel will be zipping all over Brisbane with announcements on Facebook and Instagram @Fuel.SMC letting hungry pizza lovers know where their next pit-stop will be.

To celebrate their launch, Fuel will be giving away 100 free pizzas along with a tonne of pizza shaped towels on Friday 5th May at Gasworks 63 Skyring Terrace. All your pizza picnic prayers have been answered!
