Brookie's Byron Dry Gin is Byron Bay's first and is a true exploration of Australian Native Botanicals unique the region. Ingredients are mainly foraged from the heart of the family's rainforest. A traditional “dry style” gin, it is a beautifully balanced combination of the finest traditional and local botanicals, trickle distilled in a custom hand made Copper Pot Still. It is the flavour profile of Byron Bay.

“We're bringing a new level of excellence to distillation. When you taste this gin, it tastes pure. You're tasting a bit of nature, you can taste the salt air, you can taste the fruits and flowers of the rainforest.” commented International hall of fame distiller Jim McEwan. Known as The Cask Whisperer, Jim hails from the Isle of Islay and created the famed Botanist there. He is the only distiller internationally to have been awarded the title Master Distillery on 3 occasions and has recently been acknowledged with a Hall of Fame lifetime achievement award.

He has mentored Eddie Brooks who has more than 10 years of experience in the spirit industry and 15 years in the food industry. Together they have created Brookie's. Eddie grew up regenerating rainforest on his family farm. Not surprisingly he developed a passion for native Australian rainforest fruits and flavours. “The rainforest that my family regenerated over the past 30 years is the ideal pantry for making great spirits. Like any good dish, a great gin should be balanced and I am really excited to showcase these incredible native flavours.”

Brookie's is not only a delicious gin; it is a gin with an environmental purpose. Over the past 30 years the Brook Family have planted over 35,000 sub-tropical Rainforest and Eucalypt trees on their farm creating a thriving ecosystem. But their work is not done. A percentage of the profits will support the work of the local Big Scrub Landcare group, whose sole purpose is to protect what's left of a mighty rainforest and encourage new plantings. “Rainforests are the lungs of the world and we MUST protect and nurture them.” Martin Brook
