FAST FACTS

Route: Seven-stop, 3.9-mile (6.4-kilometer) elevated system along the world-famous Las Vegas with stations at: MGM Grand, Bally's/Paris Las Vegas; Flamingo/Caesars Palace; Harrah's/The LINQ; Las Vegas Convention Center; Westgate; SLS Las Vegas.

 

Trains: Nine trains, each with four cars that arrive at each station every 4 to 9 minutes and travel at speeds of up to 50 miles per hour.

 

Ridership: Carries more than 5 million passengers annually; 78 percent of riders are leisure travelers and 22 percent are business/convention visitors.

 

Ownership: Owned by the private Las Vegas Monorail Company, a private, not-for-profit corporation granted franchise authority from the Clark County Commission to construct and operate the system.

 

Funding: Nation's FIRST metropolitan transit system funded through fare box collections and advertising revenue.

 

Zero Emissions: In 2015, the Las Vegas Monorail reduced emissions by more than 29.5 tons of carbon monoxide (CO), volatile organic compounds (VOC) and nitrogen oxides (NOx) and eliminated more than 2.3 million vehicle miles from Southern Nevada's roadways.

 

Tickets: Passes start as low as $5 for a single-ride ticket; multi-ride passes are available for 24 hours up to seven days and may be purchased at any station or at https://tickets.lvmonorail.com/.
