Lyndey Milan Wins Again at the GOURMAND World Awards

Lyndey Milan Enterprises

Flame Media is very proud to announce that Lyndey Milan's much-loved series Lyndey Milan's Taste of Australia has beaten some tough competitors from across the globe to win the coveted title of Best Food TV Show at the GOURMAND World Awards for 2015. This follows on from the win for 2014 of the Taste of Australia Cookbook which accompanied the series for Best TV Chef Cookbook (in English) at the GOURMAND World Cookbook Awards last year. Then in the Frankfurt Book Fair's Best of the Best in the last 20 years, it came an impressive third.

This prestigious award was announced on Saturday, 28 May at the GOURMAND World Awards Ceremony in Yantai, China. Lyndey was in China to receive the honour personally.

Lyndey Milan's Taste of Australia first won the title of Best Food TV Show from Australia in January which put the show up against some vigorous international competition in the running for the world title.

This award is the culmination of many months of work by Flame Productions to create Taste of Australia, showcasing Lyndey's much-loved farmers, producers and characters in her homeland. Flame Distribution, the global distributor for all of Lyndey's TV series, has sold the series to broadcasters in more than 110 countries. It has also been sold, and continues to sell, across multiple platforms including airlines, cruise liners and streaming services around the world.

“This is such a tribute to the great producers, wine makers and artisans who work with the Australian climate. It is also a wonderful acknowledgement of all that is great about Australia, its characters and its food. I am happiest for the accolade it brings them” says Lyndey Milan, Presenter and Creative Director of Flame Media.  “I am also delighted at the acknowledgement of the superb production team who worked on this at Flame Productions, the TV production arm of Flame Media”.

Lyndey Milan is available for interview.
