Café Rouge Brighton Marina's beautifully redesigned 160 cover bistro opening on the 12th February is the vision of local designer Linda Turner, who was part of the team responsible for creating the distinctive look for the first Café Rouge restaurants back in 1993.

For Café Rouge Brighton Marina, Linda has taken what was a large flat expansive space, and created layered, defined sections. The front of the restaurant now has a light, fresh cafe feeling with lots of classic neon signage and usage of the core Cafe Rouge brand shades of black, gold and of course Rouge.

Soft black leather banquette seating and a gold ceiling now create a cosy, stylish, intimate atmosphere to the rear. An island style table with room for 18 guests is central to the restaurant and breaks the spaces up, and is ideal for enjoying the French classic cuisine or sampling the extensive drinks list…or for viewing the marina, yachts and nautical life.

Subtle nods to the restaurant's location have also been incorporated in the designs. Expect porthole mirrors, a reclaimed nautical wall and pendant lighting, alongside black and white imagery of chic Parisians enjoying summers by the sea throughout.

The 50-cover al-fresco terrace with stunning sea views of the Marina has also received the Linda Turner touch. Circus style light bulb signage creates instant 'wow,' and the black and gold lettering fixed to the windows finish off the classic French bistro feel.

Linda Turner said, "When redesigning the restaurant I wanted to bring new ideas, without losing the classic Café Rouge identity. I worked on the brand from 1993 - 1999, and back then there was less choice for diners. Now it's a completely different market place, so we really have gone the extra mile to create a great designed destination venue."

As well as the new look, the bistro is serving their 'Best Of The Best Menu.' Executive Chef Duncan McEwan has explored 26 years of Café Rouge dishes and French cuisine – from their debut offerings in 1989 right through to current French food trends. The menu now includes classic Paris Snails, Steak Frites, Confit de Canard, Poulet Breton and Seabass En Papillote, and delicious desserts with a fabulous French wine list.

On the relaunch, Restaurant Manager Paulina Zych said, “We think Linda has done such a wonderful job here with our new look. The Marina itself is undergoing somewhat of a transformation, and we will be at the forefront of this now with this chic, elegant dining space for all to enjoy."

Bon Appétit!
