FRITES, Hong Kong's beloved Belgian Beer hall, purveyor of authentic Belgian comfort food and home of the after-work party is celebrating Australia Day on 26th January 2016, in all four FRITES locations!
Founded by Australians Viviano Romito and Katrina Kerr and headed by Australian-raised chef Michael Van Warmelo, FRITES will be offering a classic “Surf n Turf” special during the whole of Australia Day. A distinctly FRITES take on the much-loved combination of land and sea, the special dish features a fabulous cut of great-quality steak, char-grilled to perfection and topped with succulent, ocean sweet grilled prawns with oven-roasted cherry tomatoes, thick-cut potato wedges and a rich, beautiful gravy. The FRITES Australia Day Special is priced at $395.
With rustic relaxation at its very core, FRITES is a beloved place to hang out and enjoy life with a smile after a hard day's work. The fun factor is dialled up to eleven on Australia Day, as FRITES will be screening The Castle during dinner service! An Australian cult classic and a truly funny take on working class Australian life, The Castle was filmed in 11 days of hilarity on a limited budget (and starring a young Eric Bana in his first film role), but its legend and following grew and grew as it morphed into a beloved film that gets funnier with each viewing!
