MasterChef and My Kitchen Rules contestants, footy players and foodies were amongst astonished diners who attended the launch of a unique 'dining in the dark' pop-up restaurant, which was in fact serving frozen pizza! 

The Scuro Ristorante launch was attended by Melbourne Demons player, Bernie Vince; AFL commentator and former Hawthorn player, Ben Dixon; 2014 My Kitchen Rules contestants Carly Saunders and Tresne Middleton; 2014 MasterChef winner, Brent Owens, and his partner Madison Ancrum; plus the wife of AFL star Jonathan Brown, Kylie Brown. 

Unbeknown to the diners, as they were eating their pizza in the dark, the modern pop-up restaurant they entered was actually rotating and being transformed into a lounge room.

Guests then encountered another surprise when they were informed that the pizzeria taste experience they had enjoyed was none other than Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pizza. The sensory experience was created to show that frozen pizza doesn't have to be a compromise – pizza lovers can enjoy restaurant-quality pizzas in the comfort of their own home.  

Other lucky diners had been drawn from a public ballot to take part in the surprising but delicious Scuro Ristorante experience.

The Dr. Oetker Ristorante range retails for $7.49 (RRP) and includes the following flavours: Mozzarella; Spinaci, Prosciutto; Pepperoni-Salame, Bolognese, Funghi, Hawaii, Quattro Formaggi, and Pollo.
